Obama's True Audacity

Obama’s promise to redistribute the wealth is nothing more than the biggest, pork barrel project any politician has ever tried. Simply put, Obama is trying to buy the election by promising a majority of taxpayers a refund that allegedly will create more jobs? A thousand dollar decrease in taxes will not, in and of itself, provide the incentive to someone making $250K or less to hire someone or start a new business. At the current minimum wage a business owner would need an additional $12K just to cover the payroll. Obama’s plan is nothing more than an elaborate ruse designed to show that he cares more about the majority of Americans earning less than $100K who are mindless enough to allow their vote to be purchased for a tax refund. That is the true audacity of Obama’s hope.

Representative Frank needs to be Enlightened

Barney Frank says deregulation caused this economic morass. LOL

No Barney, this mess was facilitated by your lack of oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Your sound bite supports Senator Nobama's felicitous comments, but it is an out right lie. Wall Street is indeed greedy but they were only dealing in the same mortgage securities that you were promoting through the Community Reinvestment Act and your lackadaisical over sight of Fannie and Freddie, probably brought on my your romantic involvement with Fannie Mae executive Herb Moses.

I sincerely hope the people of Massachusetts retire this embarrassment soon!

Voter Fraud

It is hard to fathom how a lucid person can call anyone in general and Republicans in particular “subversive” or “criminal” for wanting to make sure that votes are legitimately cast. Of course, if the votes in question support your man, then I guess the ends justify the means. NOT!

Most likely the insults help assuage the intellectual dishonesty. By denigrating someone you can then feel superior to them and their ideas and therefore you must be right. NOT!

Nobama - Bad for the Economy, Bad for America!

Deregulation? Nobama the fault lies with YOU!

No Senator Obama, it was not deregulation that caused the economic morass we are in, it was ferocious and persistent protection of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac by you and Representatives Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, Lacy Clay and Senators Barack Obama, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schummer and Chuck Hagel that enabled Acorn and others like them to give billions in "affordable" mortgages under the Community Reinvestment Act to people who could not afford them. Clearly YOUR policies are not good for America. Everyone needs to view this video on Burning Down the House: What Caused our Economic Crisis to understand that Nobama's philosophies are bad for America.

Life is a excellent adventure!

OK, so here goes my own myopic attempt at joining the great debate! But first, a disclaimer. I join because I feel the need to add my own perspective, which is sometimes unique and sometimes conformist and always a reflection of my life experiences. To the consternation of some, I am not a staunch or strident, absolutionist. I never feel the need to toe the party line simply because its what is expected of a particular point of view.
Rather I believe, that within the frame work of my own experiences I am being more intellectually honest by evaluating various positions and adopting the one, which to me, makes the most sense. Wishy washy, flip flopper, ne'er-do-well or hypocrite are all names ascribed to people like myself who may outwardly seem a bundle of contradictions to left or right leaning automatons; but I don't care. In fact I find their labeling to be disingenuous because everyone exhibits some rebellious, individualistic or idiosyncratic streak at some point or another.

So because I have the courage of my convictions, unless or until someone points out an inconsistency that cannot be ignored, I am happy to add them to the mix. In short, life is an excellent adventure, let's get started!
